Review: Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion Mascara
I bought this mascara when Superdrug emailed me about an offer. I am putty in their hands…
Btw Hannah, the wait is over ;)
False Lash Effect Fusion combines Max Factor’s biggest ever volumising brush with its latest lengthening formula to create thicker and longer lashes. For those girls who want an extreme lash look, they’ve come to the right place.
I must admit, I’m always rather dubious of mascaras that claim to give the false lash effect. There has only really been Benefit’s They’re Real mascara that has achieved such an effect for me, but at £18.50 it’s not something I can always justify buying.
The offer Superdrug emailed me about was that I got a free Lip Flipstick(?) if I purchased one of the “False Lash Effect” range. I picked this up as it claims to give both volume and length. Whilst my lashes are usually alright, they are beginning to thin out a bit recently. *sad face*
The first thing I always do when I’m looking at mascaras is check the wands. I tend to prefer plastic bristles with multiple spikes as I feel these work better for me. This mascara has plenty of these which I love.
Now on to the actual mascara itself. When I first began to use it it worked brilliantly… and then we kind of hit a bump in the road. My lashes began to look even worse and droopy (argh!).
However, after having a little break from each other (and possibly it drying out a bit) we are back on track and my lashes look lovely!
Would you like to see some pictures? I know you do!
I like this picture. I should reblog it on my personal Tumblr to be all “artsy” ;)
And there you go!
I really really really like this mascara. The only thing that I didn’t like was how I had to stop using it for a while to get it to be good again *grr*.
In terms of rating I’m going to give this 4/5 as I love it :) I think it’s just over £10.00 but there are always plenty of offers in Boots and Superdrug for Max Factor so you should definitely pick this up if you are in need of a new mascara!
